Arnerich Massena’s annual Giving Tree tradition is especially precious to us because it serves families in need from our own Irvington neighborhood. Each year, we reach out to families in Arnerich Massena’s I AM Learning Partnership community service programs to help those families who are less fortunate. This year, Arnerich Massena employees shopped for 24 children from 12 different families. Combining necessities with a few fun items, we’re glad to have the opportunity to bring some joy and relief this holiday season. Read more
Republicans in the House and Senate have passed tax reform bills in their respective chambers. As the bills now go to committee for reconciliation, several items are clear: first, the text of the final bill is not likely to be set until around Christmas, leaving taxpayers no time to take action ahead of the new rules for the 2017 tax year. Second, some changes to the itemization of an individual taxpayer’s deductions are on the way. Third, the legislative and budgetary environment in Washington makes it likely that, if a bill is passed, interpreting that bill’s provisions is going to be something of a guessing game– one accountant recently described to me the current state of the environment as being, “akin to the Wild West, where anything goes.” Read more

Magazine has pinpointed the top 8 most revolutionary products and companies of 2017, and Zero Mass Water, one of the private equity investments made by 3×5 Partners, LLC, an Arnerich Massena Approved Manager, is at the very top of the list. “The Arizona-based startup says it can pull up to five liters of drinkable water a day from the air using a super absorbent material.
