If you’re a plan sponsor, you probably know that most workers are not saving enough for retirement. Only 21 percent of workers in America are very confident they will have enough money to live comfortably throughout retirement! 1 Next week is America Saves Week, and is a great time to find ways to help.
America Saves Week is an annual event coordinated by America Saves and the American Savings Education Council, promoting good savings habits and helping to encourage and support Americans trying to save money. Organizations across the United States, including employers, schools, banks, government agencies, and non-profits, have signed up to participate by planning activities that will motivate savers to take action.
Sometimes all it takes is an article, a social media post, or a poster to remind people that it’s time to get started, increase their deferral, or check on their progress. Visit www.americasavesweek.org for tips, tools, and resources to build a saving campaign. You’ll find content, themes, and digital tools to help you spread the word.
