Championing Your Retirement! is the theme of this year’s NAGDCA (National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators, Inc.) Annual Conference. Hosted in Louisville, Kentucky this year, the conference dedicated to public sector plan sponsors will take place from September 7 through September 11, 2013. Arnerich Massena advisors Jake O’Shaughnessy and Vincent Galindo, both experts in the government deferred compensation retirement plan space, will be presenting on panels at the conference.
Vincent Galindo’s session, Stable Value Funds, on Tuesday, September 10, will help plan sponsors understand the complexities of today’s stable value environment and how to make better informed decisions within the capital preservation asset class. Vincent will be joined on the panel by Steve LeLaurin from Invesco and Sean Walker from Fidelity Investments, with the panel moderated by Margaret Daun from the City of Milwaukee.
Jake O’Shaughnessy’s session, Roth 457/Roth Conversions, occurs on Wednesday, September 11. The session will compare Roth contributions to regular pre-tax contributions, and discuss who may be best served by Roth contributions and why participants would consider a conversion. The session, moderated by Gay Lynn Bath from the State of Oregon, will also include Laurel Ludden from VALIC and Patti Bjork from Aon Hewitt.
Both Vincent and Jake are veteran speakers at NAGDCA, having presented on topics ranging from the RFP process to fiduciary risks. Vincent has also served on the NAGDCA Annual Conference Committee, Education Taskforce, Investment Policy Taskforce, and Legislative Committee.
