We are pleased to announce that David Vaughan has been named the firm’s chief information officer. David Vaughan oversees Arnerich Massena’s Technology department, guiding infrastructure operations, leading the firm’s cybersecurity program, implementing information technology initiatives, providing department leadership, and managing technology assets and budget.
“David has demonstrated a profound knowledge of the current information technology landscape, and deeply understands Arnerich Massena’s IT architecture and scope of needs,” notes Bryan Shipley, CFA, CAIA, co-CEO. “He is a thought leader when it comes to cybersecurity and has worked hard to ensure that our firm leads the charge in terms of its security infrastructure and processes.”
Tony Arnerich, co-CEO, adds, “David has served as director of technology for many years and has been with the firm for more than 20 years. I’ve had the great pleasure of watching his career unfold, and am pleased to see him step up into a new level of leadership and responsibility. David Vaughan has more than 20 years of experience in information technology and earned his B.S. in computer information systems from Missouri State University. He joined Arnerich Massena in 2000 as information technology administrator and took on a technology leadership position in 2014. David’s focus as chief information officer will be to maintain state of the art technology infrastructure to support Arnerich Massena’s client services. The firm invests in technology initiatives to acquire, consolidate, and manage data; manage investment portfolio operations; and provide real-time, easy-to-use interfaces for clients, among other tasks and objectives. The company also employs a software engineer to create fully custom technology software solutions tailored specifically to client needs. “My primary objectives,” says Vaughan, “are to build a thoughtful and scalable technology infrastructure which supports our strategic vision and provides all end users, both clients and staff, with the best possible tools along with maintaining a sharp focus on our cybersecurity program. I believe in the work Arnerich Massena is doing to serve our clients and communities, building long-term legacies through intentional investing.
