At the end of each school year, Arnerich Massena checks in with employee volunteers of the I AM Learning Partnership via Survey Monkey to find out how they felt the programs went, what was most valuable, and what could be improved. Survey results for the 2012-2013 school year are in (during which 38 employees volunteered their time), and volunteers were pleased with the programs and with the experience of volunteering.
One hundred percent of survey respondents felt that their time commitment to the programs was worthwhile. Almost 80 percent stated that they found the programs very or quite beneficial to the students they worked with, and 80 percent also found that the experience of participating benefited them as volunteers. Ninety-five percent of employee volunteers feel that the partnership, overall, is very or quite beneficial to the community.
Employees’ comments on the survey tell the story even better than the numbers. Here are a few of the things volunteers said about the I AM Learning Partnership:
- “Best part of my week!”
- “I truly enjoyed the time with my student.”
- “Another excellent year for the before-school reading program – thanks!”
- “It’s a very rewarding experience. I’m glad it is available to both the students and the volunteers.”
