As a breakfast sponsor of the Portland Workforce Alliance’s (PWA) 2016 NW Youth Careers Expo, we were able to attend this phenomenal event featuring Oregon’s Governor Brown as the keynote speaker. The Expo, now in its 12th year, connects high schools to business and helps the next generation prepare to enter the workforce. This year, the NW Youth Careers Expo was held on Wednesday, February 24 at the Oregon Convention Center.
Alongside Governor Brown, Rukaiyah Adams from Meyer Memorial Trust, Mark Fitzloff from Wieden+Kennedy, and Carole Smith from Portland Public Schools helped to inspire the young attendees with their talks. Discussions focused on the importance of doing something you love and how to find the perfect job.
PWA is “an independent nonprofit that sees young people as the key to our region’s long-term economic prosperity and quality of life.” This philosophy fits well with Arnerich Massena, and we are proud to sponsor this organization in its efforts to connect young people with opportunities in business.
