It is our great privilege to be able to support our community through a variety of organizations that are serving those in need. This week, we have the honor of participating in two important fundraisers.
On Friday, May 9, the Dougy Center hosted a gala evening at the Portland Art Museum, the 2014 Reflection Benefit & Auction. The event included both silent and live auctions, showcasing children’s art and unique auction packages, culminating in a raffle of a 2014 Porsche Boxter. The Dougy Center, the National Center for Grieving Children and Families, provides support for families who are grieving a death. For more information about the Dougy Center, visit www.dougy.org.
On May 15, Jewish Family and Child Service hosted its Celebrating Our Caring Community annual luncheon at the Oregon Convention Center. The luncheon featured Howard White, vice president of Jordan Brand Affairs at Nike, as keynote speaker. For more information about the JFCS luncheon, click here.
