Irvington School is hosting its first-ever school supply drive on August 25, 2017 to alleviate school supply costs for Irvington families and classroom teachers. Local businesses donated supplies and funding for the event, organized by Kamelah Adams and Bryan Steelman along with the Irvington PTA and principal Satrina Chargualaf. The supply drive is part of an overall effort to send a message of greater inclusion, community, and belonging among all members of the Irvington School Community.
The I AM Learning Partnership is an important part of that community, and we supported the drive with our own unique donations. We filled four backpacks full of school supplies, games, clothing, and toys to be raffled off to students – check out photos below. The backpacks themselves were donated from TEDxPortland. The event is open to all students and families of the Irvington School community.
