On February 19, The Portland Business Journal held its Forty Under 40 event, honoring a group of young professionals under the age of 40 who have excelled in their field, shown leadership, and are committed to the community. Editor Craig Wessel emceed the event, and Oregon Senator Ron Wyden was there to deliver the honors. It was a packed house, with more than 400 people attending.
Arnerich Massena sponsored a table and sent a contingent to support Dave Randall as he was honored among the 40 young executives. Amid a cheerful atmosphere of joking and laughter (Wessel’s jokes rocked the house), the audience learned a bit about this year’s Forty under 40 honorees. Among the group were inventors, entrepreneurs, and executives: business leaders helping to build a thriving economy in Portland. This year saw the stiffest competition to date, with more than 400 nominations. Senator Wyden gave props to these young stars of Portland’s private sector for creating the jobs the politicians get credit for. It was an inspiring group of people, not only due to their business accomplishments, but thanks to beautiful stories of civic involvement and mentorship as well. See photos of the event below.
