Welcome, Kevin Finn!

Kevin Finn, CPA, MBA, has joined Arnerich Massena’s Finance team as a senior accountant and analyst. He will work to provide financial analysis, focusing on billing, accounts payable, and cash flow systems. We are excited to welcome our newest team member, and as per tradition, we invited Kevin to share a bit about himself:

What is your favorite restaurant in Portland?

Pine State Biscuits: try “The Reggie,” which has biscuits, gravy, cheese, and bacon. It’s not something you could eat on a regular basis, but it’s a great treat.

What is a book you recently read and enjoyed?

I recently read Little Children by Tom Perotta, which was very enjoyable.

What is your favorite film?

While a single favorite might be hard to pick out, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is definitely at the top of my list. Something I pull out and re-watch every now and then – there is always a new detail to pick out.

What’s the strangest job you’ve ever had?

I haven’t had any really strange jobs, but I had one job where the strangest things happened. I worked in a movie theater, and you would be surprised at what happens in movie theaters! I will leave it at that, but there was an upside; there were occasional celebrity sightings there, including players from the Celtics and the Red Sox!

Where is your favorite place to which you’ve traveled?

Barcelona, from which I recently returned. Attending a soccer game there was a huge highlight, as was Tibidado, an amusement park on a mountain that overlooks all of Barcelona – an amazing view. And of course, all of the beautiful old architecture, the beach… it was gorgeous.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Do you have a favorite hobby?

I play hockey (just starting on a new team in April!) and I also play guitar and bass.

What’s your idea of a perfect day?

There’s a perfect vacation day, and then there’s a perfect regular day. A perfect regular day would include sleeping in, good food, and time with friends – generally the kind of day where you have nothing scheduled and have the freedom to go where the day takes you.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever given/been given?

Don’t be afraid to make mistakes.

If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?

After traveling on a plane for 18 hours, I would choose teleportation!
