Arnerich Massena is pleased to announce the recent hire of Terri Schwartz as managing director of business development. She will oversee the firm’s business development efforts, developing sales and marketing strategy and implementation, with a focus on the firm’s retirement plan services.
As we welcome Terri to our team, we asked her to share a little bit about herself to help you get to know her:
What is your favorite restaurant in Portland?
Renata – I dream about the Bolognese gnocchi!
What’s a good book you’ve read that you would recommend?
I recently read The Boys in the Boat, by Daniel James Brown, about a University of Washington row crew team that, against all odds, made it to the Olympics in Hitler’s 1930s Berlin. I wouldn’t necessarily have chosen a book about a rowing crew, but read it with my book club and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. The story was captivating, spanning a journey from depression-era Seattle all the way to marching out under Hitler’s gaze to row for the Olympic gold. I highly recommend it – a stunning, incredible tale.
What’s the oddest job you’ve ever done?
I sold holiday cards door-to-door when I was 12 years old – it was my first sales job! I continued for three years, working for prizes.
What are your hobbies?
Hiking, golf, cooking
What’s your favorite place to which you’ve traveled?
To the Amalfi Coast, which was spectacular.
If you could go anywhere, where would you like to travel?
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
After pondering the ability to read minds as a possibility, I would choose to have the superpower to help people in distress — to actually be a superhero!
