Rock the Street, Wall Street (RTSWS) alumnae have an astounding 5X higher rate of pursuing degrees in finance, economics, and related business fields compared to the average female university student. This is one reason why we are so excited to launch our second year of participation with the program. RTSWS reports that over the past ten years, program participants have empowered more than 6,000 female students, leading to a 71% increase in their understanding of financial and investment topics. This is how we choose to invest in the next generation.

Arnerich Massena volunteers (shown above) are getting ready to head to Grant High School for the fall session of the RTSWS program, during which we’ll be on-site weekly to deliver a curriculum focused on investment and financial education to a group of interested girls. The fall session will culminate with the students taking a field trip to visit Arnerich Massena’s offices to experience first-hand what it’s like to work in the industry. Last year’s field trip was a tremendous success — the students enjoyed hearing directly from different staff members about their jobs and career pathways. We are already beginning to plan and build this year’s field trip program.

Volunteers will then return the following spring for the spring session, focused on professional development and career mentorship on-site with the same club of girls. Rock the Street, Wall Street provides an alumnae and career center for graduates of its program, where they can continue to develop their network and browse internships and job opportunities in financial services firms.

Arnerich Massena is committed to elevating women in the investment industry and helping to improve financial literacy in the next generation. We hope to inspire some young women this year, and we know that our team will be inspired by being part of this program.
