Impact CEOs from around the nation gathered together this April 19 and 20 to engage on critically important topics, looking at how to leverage business and redefine capitalism in an effort to solve the world’s most pressing social and environmental issues. The fifth annual MO Summit, formally the Momentum Impact CEO Convening Summit, was hosted by Big Path Capital at The Nines Hotel in Portland, featuring two days of keynotes, core panel topics, and workshops. The goal of the summit is “to harness the camaraderie that makes the impact space so special and empower CEOs to continue forging the path of smarter money – where people and profits can both be emphasized.” Arnerich Massena is proud to be a sponsor and supporter of the event.
Co-CEO and CIO Bryan Shipley, CFA, CAIA, represented Arnerich Massena in the panel session, “Invested: How to invest to create the world we seek” to discuss how investors can participate in driving change and building a better future. He was joined by moderator Julien Gervreau, Director of Sustainability Implementation and Climate Action Planning from Sensiba San Filippo, and co-panelists Mike Burbank, Managing Director at Morgan Stanley; Jennifer Carolyn King, Co-Founder of Rugged Elegance; and Duane Peterson, Co-President and Founder at SunCommon.
“The conference afforded us a terrific opportunity to connect with other business leaders who are committed to a new vision of capitalism,” said Shipley about the summit. “The sessions were very interactive, and the panel allowed us to dive deeply into our ideas about the challenges we are facing and the solutions we are exploring. It was transformative to experience directly how much dedication and innovation there is in the business community.”
