While he brings a broad knowledge base around portfolio construction and investment acumen, he is driven by learning about what is important to his clients, whether that’s impact, philanthropy, or building a legacy.

As senior advisor, David Janec focuses on providing Arnerich Massena clients with portfolio management, investment strategy development, fiduciary education, and governance support. As a portfolio manager, he specializes in multi-asset class asset allocation and quantitative investment strategies, being skilled across manager research, risk management, and operations including both traditional and alternative asset classes.

Mr. Janec brings more than 15 years of experience in the financial services and investment industry, most recently as vice president and senior investment strategist at Wells Fargo Private Bank. He has also served as portfolio manager with Salient Partners and investment specialist and analyst at Forward Management.

David Janec earned his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Skidmore College. He is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals. He is a former FINRA Series 63 and 7 license holder.

David enjoys traveling and trying to keep up with his two young children. He loves playing sports just to the cusp of being good at them, and then finding a new hobby. To David, everyone is a potential friend, which is why he loves doing what he does, thriving on personal interactions and helping to make impactful changes in others’ lives.
