#DucksGive begins on May 12, 2022, kicking off a day of giving across the University of Oregon Campus. This year is Arnerich Massena’s second year of supporting the Portland Internship Experience (PIE), a donor-funded internship program for undergraduate students.
This groundbreaking program partners with small businesses, non-profits, educational organizations, and civic agencies that are owned by people who have been historically underrepresented or disadvantaged and organizations committed to racial or social justice. Interns will work up to 40 hours a week for ten weeks over the summer, while also participating in professional development and social activities. Student interns earn a $5,000 stipend to offset living expenses while they are gaining professional experience and making a difference in the Portland community. “This program was designed to create access by removing financial barriers, curating the internship opportunities, and supporting students to make the most of their experiences,” said Jane Gordon, vice provost for Portland.
“We’re thrilled to be supporting the Portland Internship Experience again this year,” said Co-CEO Reegan Rae, CPWA®. “This program is focused on social justice, community building, racial equity, and economic recovery, and is deeply aligned with the values we want to support and encourage in the community.” Co-CEO Bryan Shipley, CFA, CAIA, concurs: “We’re proud to be part of helping students build skills and uplift the community. This program will have lasting impacts on both the students and the Portland community.” Join us in celebrating #DucksGive and help unlock our challenge gift!
