Nick Buckley is driven by a fascination with market dynamics combined with a passion for helping people. His broad experience across financial services including accounting, renewable energy and sustainability, strategic technology research, and investment analysis gives him a unique perspective in evaluating investment opportunities and managers.

As Research Analyst, Nick focuses on global markets, sourcing new investment managers and completing ongoing due diligence in these areas. He is also responsible for the delivery of custom client projects such as fund manager searches, investment portfolio analysis, and industry analysis.

Nick brings more than ten years of professional experience in finance and accounting, which includes five years in the investment industry. Most recently, he served as an Investment Analyst for Meketa Investment Group, supporting public and private pension clients and foundations, as well as participating in several ESG-related projects. He also previously worked at Nike, serving on the Strategic Partnership team as a Corporate Development Manager, where he worked on renewable energy deals and sustainability initiatives, researched nascent technology industries, and collaborated with entrepreneurs in their internal incubator. Nick also served as Valuations Associate for BDO USA, LLP, reviewing valuations of private company options for private equity clients.

Nick Buckley earned his Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Santa Clara University, and is a former CPA. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Nick loves to learn, and is inspired by the opportunities in his work to learn new things and speak with interesting people. When he is not working, you’ll find him playing tennis, getting outdoors, traveling, and reading.
