The Oregon Wildlife Foundation (OWF) invited friends, community members, and supporters to join their annual festivities with Across the Arches, a spectacular event at Willow Bar Farm on Sauvie Island featuring games, wildlife and sporting exhibits, and a raffle, all to raise funds to support OWF’s continuing conservation efforts. Arnerich Massena was proud to sponsor the event; Ryland Moore and Glen Goland, who attended the event, practiced sporting clays, archery, and spey casting, and came away with stories of close-up encounters with raptors. Check out photos below.
As families and friends enjoyed the Across the Arches festivities, OWF shared conversations about how they are working to conserve Oregon’s beautiful outdoors. One of their most recent successes is the Watch for Wildlife license plate, available at all Oregon DMVs as of May this year, which will sustain funding for wildlife and habitat projects that provide safe passage for wildlife and protect them from traffic danger. OWF also recently restored the area around Eagle Fern Dam, removing the dam that was causing significant issues for native fish species, and the organization collaborated with Washington and California in a multi-state effort to improve the habitat of the Western Pond Turtle.
