Oregon Entrepreneurs Network’s September PubTalk, Navigating a Down Market, gathered business leaders from across the state to sample local food and fare, and hear business owners and executives discuss their strategies for managing tough times. Fresh Consulting hosted the September 13 event in their beautiful Southeast Portland space. Arnerich Massena Managing Principal Ryland Moore moderated the panel, which included Brianne Mees, Co-Founder and CEO of Tender Loving Empire; Gary Mortenson, President of Stoller Wine Group; and Jesus Solis, General Manager of the Yoshida Group.

The discussion ranged from high-level strategies for coping with difficult times to managing costs during inflation to the emotional impacts of running a business while facing uncertainty. The panelists shared their struggles, their successes, and the insights they’ve gathered along the way. The conversation offered tips and bits of wisdom that would be useful for anyone in business.
