The Portland Business Journal Honors the Forty Under 40 Class of 2019, Including Arnerich Massena’s Reegan Rae!

06/26/2019

The Portland Business Journal honored its 2019 Forty Under 40 at a luncheon event at The Nines Hotel on Friday, June 21. Prior to the event, the award winners were unveiled online on Wednesday in costume as their favorite superheroes. “They can’t really fly, but these 40 have soared to the heights of Portland’s business, nonprofit, and public sector communities,” said digital producer/associate editor Christopher Bjorke. He notes that this year’s honorees are superheroes for their organizations.

That’s certainly true of Reegan Rae, CPWA®, principal, managing director of wealth management, and senior investment advisor. She appeared as Rosie the Riveter, demonstrating the potential for women to rise in a male-dominated environment (although 60% of financial services employees are women, only 19% of senior positions are held by women and only about 15-30% of financial advisors are women). Out of more than 400 Forty Under 40 entries this year, she was selected among the top 40 for outstanding leadership in her careers and compelling community involvement.

When asked about what might surprise people about her, Reegan noted that she has a degree in psychology. “My path to my career in wealth management was not by design; however, I use my degree almost every day with my clients, using behavioral finance concepts, active listening skills, and asking good questions.” She recommends Becoming by Michelle Obama for how honest Ms. Obama is about her journey with self-identity, balancing work and family, and remaining true to herself. You can read more in Reegan’s profile here or in The Portland Business Journal’s special publication in the Friday, June 21 print edition.
