The Portland Business Journal’s Family Caregiver Summit Featured Industry-Leading Experts, including Arnerich Massena’s Glen Goland, JD, CFP®

“I’m a recovering attorney. Now, I do wealth planning for folks,” Glen Goland, JD, CFP®, is quoted in The Portland Business Journal’s Family Caregiver Summit special insert of its March 24, 2017 issue. Glen participated on a panel, “Navigating Care & Finance for the Aging Parent,” a discussion about how to protect your assets and manage investments as family members age.

The panel also included Megan Hewitt from the Attorney General’s Elder Abuse Unit, and Fee Stubblefield, founder and president of The Springs Living; moderated by Portland Business Journal editor Suzanne Stevens, the panel delved into topics including housing, finance, and preventing fraud and abuse. Glen notes: “Do you have long-term care insurance? What were your parents’ and grandparents’ life expectancy? Is there a family history of longevity?” He continues, “We look at health insurance and long-term care insurance and existing medical conditions. We do as much fact-finding as we can.” In the article, he discusses what people should be thinking about as they plan their estates.
